Where It All Started
More than a decade ago, our founder, Dr. Peter Swarr, set out to do something different.
As a pioneer in travel healthcare, he brought medical evaluations directly to military communities – reaching active-duty service members and veterans who might otherwise have gone without care. His work focused on occupational health evaluations, building the foundation for what would eventually become Warrior Vets.
The challenges facing veterans became even more apparent when the COVID-19 pandemic began. Two critical realities came into focus:
- The demand for specialized veteran evaluations was rapidly increasing.
- The complex mental and physical health challenges tied to military service were more visible than ever.
In response, we expanded our reach and refined our model to better serve veterans nationwide.

Today, Warrior Vets is proud to be one of the largest VA contractors in the United States and its territories. Our team of trained experts includes audiologists, traumatic brain injury specialists, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and psychologists.
Together, these providers conduct comprehensive, objective medical evaluations that help veterans access the benefits they’ve earned in service to our country.
We believe that quality care should not depend on location, mobility, or life circumstances. That’s why we actively work to reach veterans who are homebound, incarcerated, or live in underserved areas. This work is only possible thanks to clinicians who share our desire to make a genuine, measurable difference.
