Letter From Our CEO

An Unprecedented Need

The War in Afghanistan has been the longest conflict in American history. As a result, the physical and emotional needs of our Veterans have never been greater. Peter Swarr, MD began travelling to military communities over fifteen years ago to perform medical evaluations for active and former United States Military Veterans. Dr. Swarr was among the first “travelling providers” to perform these examinations. This need has increased with the COVID-19 global pandemic.

Dear friends and supporters,

Thank you for visiting Warrior Vets.

Our organization is committed to providing exceptional medical care for America’s heroes: the men and women who have sacrificed so much for our great nation.

As the founder and CEO of Warrior Vets, I am passionate about serving those who have served us—a purpose that has been with me since my early days as a resident at the Nashville VA Medical Center. One that only strengthened as I assessed veterans outside of Fort Campbell. In each role, I saw firsthand the impact of military service, which inspired me to help veterans access the physical and psychological care they need.

That dream became a reality during the pandemic. As COVID-19 dominated news cycles, I realized two things: 1. There was an unprecedented need for veterans’ examinations, and 2. Veterans face unique health challenges due to their service. The development of Warrior Vets Medical Services emerged from my passion for teaching coupled with years of serving veterans’ medical needs throughout the United States.

Warrior Vets leverages unparalleled expertise to deliver top-notch medical care for our nation’s heroes. Our team is strengthened by Chief Operating Officer Buddy Lunati, who began his career as a Navy corpsman before spending a decade working for a leading VA vendor. His invaluable operational experience has made Warrior Vets the organization it is today.

I am also incredibly proud of the dedicated team of clinicians who offer exceptional service and patient support each and every day. We have partnered with the best of each specialty, including respected audiologists, TBI specialists, mental health experts, and general medicine providers. Our qualified team is backed by a network of physician peers who help us strive for excellence as we expand nationally and internationally. I am grateful for all of their contributions.

Finally, we believe healthcare should be affordable and accessible for all veterans. To this end, we have committed to offering services to special populations. These include veterans who are incarcerated or homebound across the United States. It is our mission to partner with service-minded clinicians who endeavor to make a difference in the lives of these patients.

Veterans deserve quality care. It is our honor to serve them with the highest degree of expertise and compassion.

Thank you,

Peter Swarr, M.D., FAAP
