Peter Swarr, MD, FAAP – Founder and CEO

Dr. Swarr received his medical degree from the University of Vermont College of Medicine, where he was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha, the medical honor society. He completed the combined Internal Medicine and Pediatrics residency program at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He was an Ambulatory Chief Resident in Internal Medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in 2003-2004.
Dr. Swarr is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Pediatrics. He is passionate about supporting military families and maintains medical licenses in multiple states as he travels throughout the country for the Veterans Administration, performing examinations for troops, many of whom have returned from Iraq and Afghanistan. This passion inspired him to found Warrior Vets Medical Services at the height of the pandemic. Ever since, he has dedicated himself to serving those who served the United States.

Buddy Lunati – Chief Operations Officer

Buddy Lunati became the Chief Operations Officer of WarriorVets Medical Services in September of 2021. He brings over ten years of VA MDE contract experience and 16 years of management experience. He has a background in team and utilization management, recruitment, retention, operational management, and program development.
Buddy holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Mount Olive. In his role with Warrior Vets Medical Services, he is responsible for the performance of all departments, contract acquisitions and negotiations, and several other COO duties. He is dedicated to supporting the CEO’s vision and is passionate about serving the veteran community.
Buddy enlisted in the United States Navy in 2007 and received an honorable discharge in 2012. He held many diverse roles throughout his enlistment. He was employed by the largest vendor under the VA MDE contract, QTC Management, from 2013 to 2021 and held multiple positions throughout his tenure.

Benjamin Stringer – Director of Provider Relations

Nurse practitioner Benjamin Stringer began working with WarriorVets as the initial advanced practice provider in April 2021. He helped the CEO recruit and develop a team of peers to support the MDE contract. Ben continued to perform general medical evaluations while developing training programs and recruiting providers.
In September 2022, he began serving in his current role as Director of Provider Relations. He is responsible for provider recruitment and engagement and continues to lead the provider training program. Ben is invested in the peer-led training model, which is integral to the long-term success of our providers.
Ben completed undergraduate training at Tennessee Tech and received his master’s degree from the University of Alabama in Huntsville.
Before WarriorVets, Ben spent his foundational NP years practicing emergency medicine and working as a first assistant for a general and bariatric surgery practice. He is the co-founder of a telehealth wellness company.

Brad Maxwell – Director of Provider Development

Brad Maxwell has been a practicing physician assistant since 2014. He has been a part of the Warrior Vets Medical Services group since inception.  He practices locally in Kingston, TN, as well as participates in domestic and international travel events for the company to help serve the veteran population wherever that need arises.

His passion for serving U.S. veterans led to Brad’s role with Warrior Vets evolving in September 2023. He now acts as the director of provider development. His leadership plays an integral role with new provider onboarding, training, and assisting providers with the transition into their new career with the Warrior Vets team.

Brad’s undergraduate was obtained from East Tennessee State University. Following this, he received his Master of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Lincoln Memorial University. He is recognized by the Pi Alpha National Honor Society. Prior to his time with Warrior Vets, his specialty was focused in emergency medicine.

His interests outside of work involve spending time with his family as well as outdoor activities including hiking, camping and fishing.
